From dick:
Still haven't decided what to do when I grow up (so says wife) but having enjoyed every minute of various forms of economically sustaining life I have nothing I want to retire from. Chronologically from the summer of '57 I served 5 years in the Air force as  an engine mechanic then went to college and received  a BS in Aeronautical Engineering. Worked for Bell Aerospace on rockets and tanks for the Apollo mission (met Neil Armstrong at NASA Houston and helped training mission for Lunar Landing Vehicle). After moon landing aerospace contracts dwindled so moved back to Lansdowne to work at Boeing helicopter test site . When those contracts ended post Viet Nam I started building construction, not wanting to take the kids out of Lansdowne schools. Eventual marriage breakup led me to CA and continuing as General Contractor and partner in Hearing Aid Business. Partner took the money and ran. On a road trip to PA from CA I met my current wife on I-80 at the exact center of USA (grand Island NE) (there was a middle one of no consequense), We married in Elkton on a vacation trip to FL and have one son. Did I mention the four from first marriage? Moved to FL and continued contracting, specialized in kitchen remodel with custom cabinets. For the next 19+ years I wore three hats, Real Estate Broker, Cabinet Maker, Photo-copier repair business.
Finally at age 60 I  accepted a school teacher job teaching construction to young adults (drop-outs and GED applicants) for Flagler County School Board. On a "let's do something different dare" (from wife) we moved to CO to be close to daughter & two (of 8) grandchildren. We've been here over a year now and I haven' t decided what to do next. I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up, but I've enjoyed every minute of doing what I want to do along the way.
PS: I blame it all on Ms Lindenmuth, who in career counseling said I could be anything I wanted to be; Mr pastelak for the manual skills; The Baron Mclure for interest in science and technology; Mr Keenan's dance classes for teaching enough good manners to get by. None of these were appreciated at the time - damn teenagerism. Overall, the LAHS motto "To Teach The Art Of Living Well" has carried me through.

From Hugh :
Happily married to Julie for 30 years, who was foolish/courageous enough to marry me while I was raising four kids from a first marriage.  We climbed Mount Katahdin in Maine together two weeks ago.  We moved from Lansdowne in 1980 to escape the impending school merger - to Swarthmore (I've always felt a little guilty about this.) and have lived in the same large old house of projects since.  I enjoy writing and my children believe that my retrospective/family/fishing/happy-to-be-alive stories are my best.  Occasionally they get published; and here is a link to one:

I look forward to seeing many of you at the reunion; and I thank those who've done so much to keep our fine class together.

I've been active since retiring: as a board member and President of the World Affairs Council of Jacksonville, National World Affairs Councils of America board member, a hospital board, Jaxport Board of Directors, the University of North Florida Foundation Board and board member of a school for girls at risk. I give frequent talks locally and around the country and am a now-and- then international consultant. I've finally made time to turn to my art after a godzillion years and work in mixed media and acrylics. I've been fortunate enough to have some commissions. I'm a reader, a news junkie, still a traveler and a pretty good golfer. I have four black standard poodles--or they have me.
From Marilyn:
I remember how hard it was meeting and getting to know classmates when I entered Lansdowne-Aldan  (from Guam) late in my sophomore year.  Perhaps the activism that helped that along stood me in good stead for meeting and getting to know all kinds of people quickly in my foreign service career.
I was fortunate enough to serve this wonderful country in our embassies abroad  (Latin America and Near East--Iran) and honored to be  the U.S. Ambassador to Guatemala .  I retired in l998 as a Career Minister after 30 years of service.

I divorced twice (wrong guys) and have no children, but my brother lives closeby with his three and their 71/2 offspring.  I live in a dynamic  beaches community with a wonderful spiritual home (Christ Episcopal Church) and lots of delightful and interesting friends.

The 'body' has held up well--a little wear and tear showing on the legs, but blessedly no major health issues.

My home is filled with art ,artifacts, antiques, trinkets, friends, good spirits and guardian angels.  Sometimes I think I've already died and gone to heaven.

From William:

They say that travels broadens you.  Well, over the past few years, I've been broadened very nicely, thank you.  Lamb & steak in  Australia and New Zealand, scallops in Nova Scotia, and in Greece...let me tell you that the freshly cut tomatoes mixed with feta cheese are out of this world.
Returning from "down under" brought me back to one of my true loves.  Rockville Little Theatre was looking for a director for "Inherit the Wind."  A wonderfully written drama by Lawrence & Lee about the Scopes Monkey Trial that took place in Tennessee in 1925.  The play, with 35 actors or so, is a very difficult to produce even at the professional level, but judging from the reaction of our audiences, it was a hit!  Fortunately, I had five very good thespians for the major roles.
Life in Maryland has been a real joy...so many cultural activities!  Vocationally, I have been teaching tennis for quite a few years, and have actually gotten paid for it.  Avocationally, drawing and ballroom dancing occupy many of my waking hours.  So, what's next?
Susan & I plan to move to an adult community in Bluffton, SC, a planned development built by Del Webb.  It's about 17 miles west of Hilton Head Island.  We chose it because we can continue doing the things that we love...which hopefully includes more travel and more broadening.
